CDP Documentation Index

Can people and AI assistants read each CDP’s integration docs? CdpHub requested every page the 44 CDPs’ catalogs link to, 6,314 in all, the way a plain automated reader does.

  • 82%of linked pages could be read by an automated reader
  • 22CDPs where at least 9 in 10 listings’ pages can be read
  • 8CDPs whose documentation sites turn automated readers away

Part one of two, checked November 6, 2026: whether the docs can be reached and read, 40 of the index’s 100 points. Part two scores what the pages say, and brings A-to-D grades. It’s added as CdpHub reads every page over the coming weeks.

Median words: the median word count of a CDP’s readable pages. Shown, not scored.

Too few listings to rank

A place in the ranking needs at least 10 linked listings, so these are shown but not ranked.

How it’s scored

The three checks in part one and their points
CheckRulePoints
LinkedShare of the CDP’s listings that link to a documentation page10
Own pageShare of linked listings whose page no other listing uses5
ReadableShare of linked listings whose page returns at least 150 words of main text to a plain request: not turned away, not a script-only shell25

On November 6, 2026, CdpHub requested each of the 6,314 distinct pages once, with its own user agent (CdpHub-DocsCheck/1.0), one request at a time per site and at least two seconds apart, following redirects and respecting robots.txt. Main text was measured without menus and page furniture. Pages a site’s robots.txt closes to automated readers weren’t requested and count as turned away, and so do a site’s other pages once it has refused the first five requests. Page text isn’t kept or published, only the measurements.

The score is about public documentation as an automated reader receives it, not about product quality, support or docs behind a login. A page that shows its text only after scripts run may read fine in a browser, but many AI crawlers and assistants don’t run scripts, so it counts as not readable here.

Coming in part two

The other 60 points score what each readable page says, so a long page that leaves out the essentials doesn’t score well:

  • Setup steps: how to connect it
  • Direction and data: what moves, and which way
  • Access: the account, key, permission or plan needed
  • Fields: what maps to what
  • Limits: rate limits, volumes, sync frequency
  • A date from the past 12 months
  • Troubleshooting: what goes wrong

Each answer is backed by an exact phrase found on the page. With both parts in, every CDP with enough pages read gets a grade from A to D.

Vendors: if your docs have changed or a figure looks wrong, ask for a re-check at ed@cdphub.com. CdpHub is independent and takes no referral fees or vendor commissions.
